I am all in favor of free speech, but not when it infringes on the other part of the first amendment, the religion clause. In school, many different groups are represented, from orthodox Jews to Satanists. The main group campaigning for school prayer are Christian, which makes the prayer quite biased, especially for Satanists, Atheists, and Agnostics. These people have the right to not have to go to a school where they must listen to prayer.

How you gonna come?
With your hands on your head,
Or on the trigger of your gun?

i completely agree with you, and thanks for recognising that the push for prayer in schools is usually promoted very one sidedly-- and not just pushing for prayer in general. although, i dont like prayer being pushed by anyone in the public realm.
