No Program Testimonials/Ads Allowed

Too many boards that discuss the issue of gulag schools are swamped by program supporters posting ads and testimonials for programs. Most of these testimonials are completely made up and many of the rest are transcriptions of what was said by inmates under duress. I am not gonna let this board degenerate into a constant argument over a particular program. If you have an opinion or a first hand experience you would like to share then feel free, but anyone who posts an advertisement or unsubstantiated program testimonial will find their post deleted and their account under scrutiny. One of NYRA's goals is to put a stop to this gulag school industry. You want to discuss how wonderful you think torturing teens for fun and profit is then go get your own board. 99% of us are sick of the 1% of you that thinks its ok to beat, brainwash, and torture people to "save" them.

I hate gulag schools and anybody who supports them but that's censorship.Just because we don't like a point of view doesn't mean we can ban it.THAT'S PROBABLY WHAT PARENTS TRY TO DO TO THE NYRA!Besides we need debating skills for this cause and how do you get those through only talking with people who agree with you?

Debate assumes an area of common ground.

A Communist and an Aristocrat (although one in the same) have nothing to say to each other; they are opposed so fundamentally as to make debate over anything but the most base and crude things impossible.

There is no agreement to be had, not in the particulars; and not in the fundamentals.

One is Machiavellian, the other Liberalesque.

One people-management philosophy assumes they (rulers, authority figures, etc) "know better;" the other assumes the self (individual; not necessarily authority figure) knows better than all, and even in failing that; the self is entitled to have the ultimate say.

Debate is productive -- this is trolling.

They are preaching; not teaching.

They will not be taught; they exist as a malignant, foreign influence upon this board and deserve to purged like so much disease.

There is nothing intellectually redeeming to come of arguing with such idiots.

They deserve not a moment more of our time and unless, Anonymous, you advocate for the devil, it ought be dropped entirely.

I understand their position -- I have done what they will not similarly honor us in doing, in attempting to place themselves in our shoes; they may well be incapable.


They are not willing to consider our side of things. I have had as much experience as an individual could be expected to bring to a discussion of an awful-treatment program such as the ones they advocate on our board for.

They have the same, without the understanding; the education -- or more importantly, the willingness to be disproven.

I will give anyone my agreement in sincerity if they can prove to me to my error.

The best they can come up with is "***** SIX STARS" "JESUS LOVES THOSE CHILDREN" "X program is THE BEST" et al, etc, etc

That, and "well, my PERSONAL EXPERIENCE," "I've been an employee at MY CENTER and..." "MY CHILD..."

Without consideration of very legitimate evidence OUTSIDE OF THEIR OWN LITTLE WORLD.

I can't see explaining this much further, I feel dirty even addressing it anymore.

We need to shut this down, there ARE RATIONAL, JUSTIFIABLE uses of power; in self-defense.

We don't deserve the company of such people and they SURELY do not deserve ours!

Get rid of the advocates, please.

I'm not asking for action -- I'm asking for reaction -- they had their little mad tea-party in our house, and now they've overstayed their welcome.


(At the least, do not pursue further communication with them or advocate it -- you can join them on THEIR territory if you really believe they have a something valuable to say -- this here is worse than useless; detrimental.)
